Now having 2007 gone, we can look back and be thankful that our Lord has blessed our Paducah chapter with a successful transformational year.  Our ministry merged back to our church campus, and our new pastor arrived in October giving us better opportunities and possibilities to expand our ministry.

On Feb. 16th, our ministry held a progressive dinner.  It was a great night of fellowship of getting to know new members in our group along with great food provided by our three hosts.  In January, February, and March we are focusing on our weekly bible study called “Experiencing God”, which is held every Thursday.  As we look ahead for 2008, we continue to have hope and make plans for another great year of reaching the biking and local community.

We actively hold monthly leadership meetings for planning upcoming events for which we will sponsor and support.  Those events include: monthly bike nights which will include a free cook-out and will start in April when the weather warms up, participating in “Relay for Life” June 6th & 7th, supporting our local “Dream Factory”, playing a role in the support of our “A.C.T.S.” ministry within our local church, and fellowship in local biking events.  In addition, our schedule consists of monthly organized rides on the first Saturday and third Sunday during the months of April through October.

In 2008, we have our kickstands up and ready to motor ahead and may God bless all our newly commissioned F.A.I.T.H. Rider Chapters.

Old Town Baptist Church

Muncie, IN

Our Muncie Chapter is getting geared up and excited about our upcoming riding season.  We meet every month on the third Saturday for breakfast at Sirloin Stockade.  Some Saturdays, when the winter weather blows in snow and ice, creating bad road conditions, we think maybe there won’t be many in attendance.

God has been faithful in supplying a good attendance each and every Saturday we meet.  Sometimes we see new faces and some former ones that we haven’t seen in awhile.  We have also had CMA visitors on occasion.

We have some exciting plans in the works.  On February 23, we took a church van to the Boat, Sport, & Travel Show at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  We would've taken our motorcycles but the temperature was in the 20’s with snow on the ground.  In the Exposition Hall, the Indiana Motorcycle Expo took place.  We also took fliers with us to advertise to other motorcycle groups our toy run coming up in the summer.

The Toy Run we are advertising will take place on June 7 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.  This will be the third year we have had this run.  Last year was a real success with the ABATE motorcycle group showing up to help.  We have food, door prizes, music, a short message, a ride, and then we'll deliver the donated toys to the pediatric unit at the hospital.

Another plan for this season is a trip to Lake Lure, North Carolina.  We fell in love with this place when a few of our group went to the Rally to Ridgecrest last year.  One of the local rides they took us on went to Lake Lure.  We are planning to return in July for a few days and go on small rides on the surrounding area.

One item our church has allowed us to purchase that will be helpful for our various trips and activities is a 10 x 6 foot trailer.  Along with this, we have a new couple that has joined in the fun.  Jenny Carson is the motorcycle driver and her husband, Phil, will be our “chase car” driver pulling the trailer.

We are excited for the weather to change so we can hit the road again sharing Christ with the lost!!
